Size & accessibility
Minimal footprint, optimal accessibility
The slim-line, colour customisable chassis has one of the smallest free standing footprints on the market with a base width of only 34.7cm and depth of 38.5cm. It’s unique wave design and finish further minimizes its spatial perception and its ergonomic portability allows it to be easily moved out of sight if required.
Standing at a peak height of only 128cm the screen and interaction points have been respectively placed in optimal positions for streamlined usability and for effortless accessibility by all passengers.
Maximum deployment flexibility
The QikBoard™ Kiosk features a 2 wheel base design with telescopic handle extensions and foot well that enables easy tilt-trolley portability. Roll-out the QikBoard™ to support check-in during peak congestion or move the QikBoard™ from one gate to the next at completion of boarding.
Portability also enables flexible placement options and manoeuvrability as well as end of day stowage.
Mains power & battery configurations
Cableless freedom for always-on functionality
For complete portability and freedom, the battery-optioned QikBoard™ Kiosk delivers the ultimate in always-on functionality with a 12-hour, heavy use battery life. Take advantage of cable-less freedom with unrestricted placement options throughout the terminal for check-in or at the gate, on the aerobridge or perhaps on the tarmac for boarding.
Mains power is featured as standard on all Kiosks via a single detachable cable and coupled with an advance power management system on battery-optioned Kiosks to manage charge and to maximise battery longevity. With an accelerated boot time the QikBoard™ Kiosk is ready to board in less than 2 minutes for true plug and play use.
Latest generation multi-core processing for fast passenger processing and ancillary revenue applications
To drive the expansive feature set and advance QikScan™ scanning engine is a high-performance multi-core processor optimised for seamless multi-tasking and multi-thread utilisation. Coupled with an ultra-fast solid state drive, components have been specifically selected to maximise processing throughput and provide excess capacity for rich media and ancillary revenue applications.
This processing power translates to sub 2 second read times across all scanning mediums including paper, mobile and RFID giving passengers fast, multi-channel convenience when checking in or boarding.
Extensive connectivity options for any environment
By including numerous secured connectivity options including Ethernet, WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth the QikBoard™ Kiosk has the flexibility to integrate into any environment and infrastructure. Extensive connectivity also provides consistent real time reporting, error diagnosis and remote access from beyond the airport environment for more effective support and management.
Security, serviceability & support
Protect your investment and minimise downtime
Secure key access, protects your investment from unauthorised parties while an intelligent, internal layout allows authorised personnel easy access to key components to perform quick maintenance and component updates as required. Multi-layer component and peripheral diagnostics and alerts can help identify errors sooner and remote support management allows over-the-air software updates, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Sissit has an extensive worldwide onsite support infrastructure that is centrally managed by a dedicated support team. We believe in efficient and effective resolution, therefore, our dedicated help desk line gives you direct access to the QikBoard™ Design and Software team that actually engineered the unit ensuring the best possible outcome, the first time around.
Built to endure the rigours of heavy use and portability
Specially designed to enable easy mobility while maintaining long term durability, the Kiosk chassis has been engineered using a lightweight, reinforced fibreglass. Having undergone rigorous testing in real airport environments and under intensive, continuous use conditions, the QikBoard™ Kiosk has a proven durability that will ensure minimal downtime and a long life.
Latest components produce greater performance at reduced energy levels
Minimising energy consumption and maximising life cycle has been a key part of Sissit’s Kiosk development. The QikBoard™ Kiosk features components selected specifically for their adherence to strict performance versus consumption criteria. Latest generation processors with smart power management, Solid State drives that increase performance by up to 200% over regular drives but consume three times less energy, power supply units running at 80 PLUS efficiency and more.
Sissit’s power management system featured on battery-optioned Kiosk protects and conserves the battery when the charge runs low, minimising consumption and maximising battery life.
Maximise passenger throughput for ultimate on-time performance
For even faster boarding, preferential boarding or dual door boarding, multiple QikBoard™ Kiosks can be setup in wireless synchronisation. Processing can occur simultaneously with data transmitted between both Kiosks in real-time. Should there be any Kiosk failure there is instant redundancy with the additional Kiosk/s continuing full function without the loss of data or loss of efficiency.
Easily integrated into your existing systems architecture
The QikBoard™ Kiosk is able to be easily integrated into existing airport and airline systems thanks to intelligent software architecture and in-house capabilities. We support multiple integrations on the same device to allow for common use environments and first and foremost seek to utilise existing software, systems and infrastructure to minimise cost and time to delivery. Sissit has successfully integrated into many of the leading reservation and departure control systems.
Take advantage of the QikBoard’s flexibility and maximise asset utilisation through the QikBoard™ check-in application. The kiosks minimal footprint and portability can complement existing kiosk fleets to minimise congestion during peak times, or alternatively, it can feature as a primary check-in solution where terminal space is limited or comes at a premium. The QikBoard™ for check-in can be deployed as a fixed or portable kiosk solution.
The easy-to-use interface is customisable to airport and/or airline needs. The application integrates with the nominated departure control system and the full range of check-in functionality is made available to the passenger including self-bag tagging.
Check-in functionality includes:
